If I did hand the work in as my own, would my tutor find out?

While the work we produce is 100% original, written just for you, and never resold or shared, submitting it as your own would still be academic misconduct. Your university’s plagiarism system, such as Turnitin, would not detect it as copied, but your tutor could recognise differences in writing style, structure, or academic ability compared with your usual work.

If your submitted work seems beyond your normal standard or unrelated to your course content, your tutor may ask how you found your sources or request drafts to confirm authorship. Using the work incorrectly could lead to serious consequences if discovered.
