These types of meat can be very tasty when prepared correctly and do not have the fats found in red meats. Even though red meats are the most common meat, they are not healthy for the body.

The most common red meat is beef. Some other unhealthy red meats are lamb and pork sausage. People who eat these meats are more prone to developing more heart problems. The fats in red meats cause the arteries to clog, which causes heart attacks and strokes. Red meats are not the only common food that a person needs to stay away from.

People believe that sugar substitutes are a better version than sugar for them, although this is not true. Everyone needs a certain amount of carbohydrates for a person’s body. Even though a person thinks sugar substitutes are better, sugar substitutes are not. The extra calories added when the body tells the person it needs the carbohydrates, which will add pounds, which is unhealthy for the person’s body. When the body has too many pounds from the extra calories from extra simple carbohydrates it stores complex carbohydrates in the body, which people need to stay away from some complex carbohydrates.

Fat that one need to stay away from is ones solid in room temperature. One reason to stay away from solid fat is they allow cholesterol to collect in the arteries. Some healthy fat can be found in olive oil and fish oil. The correct fat can be beneficial to the body in many ways though.

Several parts of the body need fat to function. The body burns fat by using a person’s metabolism. While burning energy the body uses fat. If the arteries stop the flow of blood to a person’s heart this causes a heart attack, which could cause death. Another problem associated with obesity is high cholesterol.

High cholesterol causes many effects to the human body. People with high cholesterol could have a heart attack or stroke. One needs to have good HDL cholesterol in their body to keep the bad LDL cholesterol flowing freely through a person’s arteries to prevent clogging. Blood can flow easily through clear arteries rather than arteries packed with LDL cholesterol. One needs less than 100 mg of LDL cholesterol level and more than 60 mg of HDL cholesterol level to have a balanced cholesterol level in their body. Another danger of not eating healthy besides high cholesterol is diabetes.

People with obesity raise their chances of diabetes. In diabetes the body does not produce enough insulin to allow a person’s cells to receive glucose for energy. Without proper insulin glucose stays in a person’s blood, which causes a person’s glucose level to be too high. Diabetes can harm a body by causing fatigue, frequent urination, extreme thirst, weight loss, and vision problems.

Can a person eat healthy and live without many health problems? By eating and following the food pyramid a person can live a long and healthy life. Knowing the effects of not eating healthy and the benefits of eating healthy throughout a person’s life is important. When a person is healthy, he or she lives a more productive and enjoyable life as opposed to a person who does not eat healthy. A person would not have as many health problems by eating healthy. By eating healthy a person will be able to do more activities with a person’s friends and loved ones.
